So Laat Staan

“So gemaak, so laat staan” is an Afrikaans idiom which, can perhaps be translated as “As it was made, so was it left”, but “So laat staan” can also be interpreted as “It can be stood up like this”.

Someone asked me if it would be possible to rusticate leadwood and, alhough it appears to be possible, it is with a lot of hard work and much danger to one’s digits.
